Em The Passion of New Eve, Angela Carter prefigura a fabricação de um ser humano por força de tecnologias materiais e discursivas. Este ser, chamado Eva, mantém sua antiga identidade masculina em conflito com sua nova condição como mulher. Segundo a teoria de Haraway, esse hibridismo torna Eva um ciborgue, metáfora para a atual condição humana.Referências
