In line with the Open Science movement and in response to an invitation from Educação em Revista, I present an evaluative review of the first version of the manuscript Formative assessment in tutorial groups: an analysis based on emotional didactic suitability. The review is the result of an evaluation of the article followed by a collaborative and transparent dialogue between authors, reviewers, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal. Several steps preceded the construction of the review: the authors deposited the manuscript on the Scielo preprint server; given its suitability for the scope, it was selected by the Editor-in-Chief of Educação em Revista for evaluation; the Journal forwarded it to the reviewers, who issued opinions approving the manuscript and indicating mandatory corrections; the authors were invited to interact online with the reviewers; at the time, they gave an oral presentation on the content of the article and, then, in a collaborative, critical, and transparent manner, the reviewers presented considerations on the document in question and pointed out what required revision with conceptual and analytical depth; In the evaluators' assessment, pedagogical and didactic aspects were highlighted given the theme of the article. The considerations presented in this evaluative review refer to the first version of the article. It is important to highlight that, in Educação em Revista, the article will be published with the revisions and in-depth analysis requested by the evaluators at the time of the collaborative interaction.
