Abstract

In face of an increasingly frequent recurrence to the notions of utopia and dystopia, this article aims to tension some possible relations between conceptsusually regarded as opposed. At first, we will promote a debate in order to disengage the forms that utopia has come to conform since its creation, pointing to a rarely mentioned a literary genre. Based on these explanations, we will dedicate more attention to MoreanUtopia, seeking to highlight a series of disciplinary aspects represented in the book. Elements that, despite sounding unpleasant to the contemporary reader, will also be problematized and understood in their context.
