VALOR MORAL EM KANT
A PRIMEIRASEÇÃO DA FUNDAMENTAÇÃO DAMETAFÍSICA DOS COSTUMES

Na obra de Kant o termo valor é utilizado com grande frequência e, de fato, isso não é algo exclusivo das obras de filosofia moral. Apesar disso, Kant não explicou de modo claro e suficiente o papel que este conceito desempenha ou o que ele realmente significa em sua filosofia moral. Neste artigo, argumentarei que o conceito kantiano de valor na primeira seção da Fundamentação da Metafísica dos Costumes é relevante e estratégico para esclarecer sua noção de ação moral, mas desempenha apenas um papel secundário em toda a argumentação da Fundamentação. Esta é a principal razão pela qual sua ética não é o que chamamos de uma teoria sistemática do valor moral. Como veremos, seu conceito de valor não é colocado antes, acima ou abaixo da lei moral e do dever, isto é, como seu fundamento de validade, mas, ao contrário, todo valor deriva da lei moral e do imperativo categórico.
