Bibliométric analysis of technological production in biodiesel: contributions of ST&I policies

Abstract

It analyzes the international technological production on biodiesel using bibliometrics indicators of patents. The data were gotten in the Derwent Innovations Index, limited to the period between 2000 to 2007. It analyzes the evolution of the patent registration by Institutions and individuals as well as the classification of inventions. The results are useful to visualize the technological production dynamics on biodiesel and subsidize reflections on the bibliometric indicators use and in ST&I policy in the biodiesel field.
