Antiquarians: a look on their work and informational behavior

Abstract

The paper presents the results of an exploratory study on the work environment and information behavior of antiquarians. The information sources used include the literature on information use and user studies, biographies of antiquarians, data collected from an interview, and the data base of the Brazilian Occupational Classification. Some of the research assumptions, concerning the information behavior of antiquarians, were fully or partiallly confirmed.
