This study aims to understand what students from a public college of Recife think about the Health Extension Projects offered by the University. The research had a qualitative approach and included students from both first and professional cycles of the health area courses. An interview guide and the recording technique to register the talk were used. The Discourse of the Collective Subject technique was used for data analysis. Results showed that both students with and without Extension Project experience were apprehensive about the contributions of these activities in their graduation. Students with experience in Extension Projects highlighted the political role, the social responsibility and the need of being critical and prepared to act in a creative and innovative way.Downloads
