Abstract

Nursing development is mostly connected to technological progress. Gradual care and adequate view on the use of information systems contribute to the development of nursing investigation, in parallel to the praxis evolution wherever they are performed. The Health System is based on primary health care, so nurses have an important social role in promoting health among families and communities. In this context emerged a need to develop nursing models of family care that were able to operate according to the current information systems. This study is part of a PhD project, and intents to reflect over the documentation patterns integrated in the Supportive System of Nursing Praxis as well as to discuss those in the context of the family health care nursing. Using the Investigation-Action method, the representative sample was composed by nurses of a Portuguese Northern Health Centre. The debate technique was applied. The integration of documentation patterns in the computer operation was directed by the authors, the first one as an investigator and the second one as a coordinator of the group "Reflecting over Nursing in Primary Health Care". The results express the practical knowledge acquired from the healthcare models discussion. We believe that a documentation structure, which expresses the re (composed) model, may be an effective and worthy improvement for the family health care nursing.
