The coronavirus disease, COVID-19, caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2020. This experience report portrays the extension project “COVID-19 Study Group" which discussed relevant topics to clinical practice in coping with COVID-19 with students from Physiotherapy, Medicine and Nursing graduation courses and produced informative materials to the general population and health professionals about COVID-19. Thirty eight folders and videos and 2 lives were produced about COVID-19 and published on Instagram webpage. In total, posts had 7,778 views and 2,024 likes. Regarding the evaluation of the project by the followers of the page, the community feedback was very positive. Nineteen of 26 followers (73%) reported that they obtained a variety of information through the posts and 22 (85%) mentioned having passed on the information obtained through the page to family and friends. In the final assessment, all students considered very important to create the COVID-19 Study Group. The scientific information, used as a tool in this extension project, was assertive in instructing students of health courses about COVID-19 and reaching the lay population and other health professionals, leading to clarifications about COVID-19.
