Sobre mapas e segredos abertos

Ao contracartografias, realizadas nos últimos dez anos de forma colaborativa através do conhecimento pesquisado, produzido e compartilhado em oficinas com comunidades por grupos como AREA Chicago (Estados Unidos), Counter-Cartographies Collective (Estados Unidos, Espanha e outros países), e Iconoclasistas (Buenos Aires), que são objeto deste artigo, somam os resultados dos encontros e das decisões de muitos participantes, seguindo o princípio de que mapas produzem, e mesmo precedem, o território. São mapas são abertos e nunca estão totalmente “finalizados”. São distribuídos livremente de mão em mão ou na internet, e passam por reinterpretações e atualizações de outros indivíduos e movimentos que buscam resistir aos modos convencionais de ver a realidade, “indo sempre contra aquilo que está estabelecido, como uma expressão do dissenso e da crítica.”
